LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) – The Bears signed cornerback Tre Flowers and defensive end Tanoh Kpassagnon as they opened training camp Tuesday.
Flowers, 30, is a seven-year NFL veteran who has played 95 career games for five different teams. He spent time with the Jaguars and Colts in 2024. His arrival comes as Bears star cornerback Jaylon Johnson has been placed on the non-football injury list due to a leg injury. The Bears expect Johnson will miss several weeks with the injury, which he suffered while training during the offseason.
Kpassagnon, 30, is an eight-year NFL veteran who has played with the Chiefs and Saints. He was in Kansas City while Bears general manager Ryan Poles worked there and played in New Orleans for then-head coach Dennis Allen, who’s now the defensive coordinator in Chicago.
The Bears waived defensive back Alex Cook and defensive lineman Jereme Robinson in corresponding roster moves. The team also activated receiver Jahdae Walker and running back Ian Wheeler from the non-football injury list.
The Bears will hold their first practice of training camp Wednesday morning.
