LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) Bears quarterback Justin Fields and the team's starters will play in their preseason finale Saturday against the Bills at Soldier Field, coach Matt Eberflus said.

Roles and playing time will be determined by the Bears in a meeting later Thursday afternoon, Eberflus said. Fields and most starters sat out of Chicago's exhibition loss at Indianapolis last Saturday after the Bears conducted a pair of joint practices with the Colts earlier in the week in Westfield, Ind.

Fields led two series and took seven snaps in the Bears' preseason opener on Aug. 12, going 3-of-3 for 129 yards with two touchdown passes.

Fields played 30 snaps in the Bears' preseason finale in 2022.

Eberflus declined to reveal who would be the Bears' second quarterback to play after Fields and the starters complete their work Saturday. Veteran PJ Walker and rookie Tyson Bagent are in an open competition for the backup quarterback role, Eberflus confirmed Thursday.

The Bears and the Bills will kick off at noon CT on Saturday from Soldier Field.
