CHICAGO (670 The Score) Bears receiver Chase Claypool is a healthy scratch and inactive against the Broncos on Sunday, two days after making critical comments about the coaching staff.

Claypool on Friday expressed a belief that he hasn't been put in the best position to succeed by the Bears. With Claypool out, the team will turn to veteran receiver Equanimeous St. Brown in his place.

When asked by a reporter whether the Bears have put him in the best position to succeed, Claypool shook his head and simply said "no." He continued on when asked what's the best place for him with this team.

"I’m not going to give any pointers," Claypool said. "That’s their job to decide, and I’ll just do what they tell me to do."

Claypool has four receptions for 51 yards and a touchdown in three games this season. In 10 games in his Bears tenure, he has 18 receptions for 191 yards and the lone score.

The Bears acquired Claypool from the Steelers last November in a deal that sent a second-round pick back to Pittsburgh. That selection became the No. 32 overall pick in the draft.

The Bears' other inactives Sunday include safety Eddie Jackson (left foot), cornerback Jaylon Johnson (hamstring), quarterback Nathan Peterman and running back D'Onta Foreman.

Rookie quarterback Tyson Bagent is active for the Bears as the team's backup quarterback.

The Bears (0-3) and Broncos (0-3O) kick off at noon CT Sunday from Soldier Field.
