(Audacy) Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers had the sports world talking when he made a bold statement toward Bears fans by yelling "I still own you" at the Soldier Field crowd after he scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter to seal Green Bay's win at Chicago on Sunday.
Outside of Bears fans, many loved Rodgers' fiery energy, including Buccaneers star quarterback Tom Brady. During an interview on SiriusXM NFL Radio, Brady congratulated Rodgers and cracked a joke about Rodgers being a "shareholder" of the Bears. Rodgers is 22-5 against the Bears (playoffs included) in his career.
"I wanted to say congrats to Aaron Rodgers," Brady said before discussing film of the Bears and Packers. "Obviously I know he's a great quarterback, but I guess he's now a shareholder of the Bears ... I saw a clip of him really enthusiastically telling the crowd how happy he is to own Soldier Field. And that's really great stuff. He owns the Bucks now. Part-owner of Soldier Field. So, he's got a great career beyond football."
When asked what franchises he owns, Brady said he doesn’t own the Buffalo Bills yet, but when New York City was brought up, Brady couldn’t resist throwing some shots at the Jets.
