LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) – Bears quarterback Caleb Williams and the team's starters will play Sunday in preseason action against the Bills, head coach Ben Johnson said Wednesday.
"Everyone is going to play," Johnson said.
“It doesn't matter if you're a rookie or if you're a 10th-year guy, I think going through those steps with a new staff, those are critical components.”
Williams and most Bears starters sat out of the team’s preseason opener this past Sunday, when Chicago tied 24-24 with Miami at Soldier Field.
The Bears instead held a pregame workout for Williams on Sunday, and he was among 34 players to practice Monday afternoon at Halas Hall.
The Bears will welcome the Bills to Halas Hall for a joint practice this Friday. It marks the second joint practice for the Bears after they squared off against the Dolphins last Friday in Lake Forest.
The Bears and Bills will kick off Sunday at 7 p.m. CT from Soldier Field.
