Cole Kmet on Aaron Rodgers' 'I still own you' comment toward Bears: 'Let's face it, he's not totally wrong'

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) -- Bears tight end Cole Kmet wasn't in the middle of the action when Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers screamed "I still own you" at the Soldier Field crowd after rushing for a game-clinching touchdown in the fourth quarter of Green Bay's win Sunday.

Kmet wasn’t searching for the video clip either. But he's certainly aware of Rodgers’ comments and history. Having grown up in the northern suburbs of Chicago and rooted for the Bears before being drafted by the team in 2020, Kmet has seen plenty of Rodgers’ success.

After Rodgers yelled out to the fans at Soldier Field, Kmet looked at the reality of the situation. Rodgers is 22-5 against the Bears (playoffs included) during the course of his career.

“Let’s face it, he’s not totally wrong,” Kmet said Wednesday. “I mean, he’s been pretty successful against the Bears in his career. It’s on us to change that narrative going forward.”

Rodgers barked out to the Soldier Field crowd after his score sealed a 24-14 win as the Packers improved to 5-1 this season. Amid his celebration, Rodgers pointed out that he noticed many middle fingers being directed his way by fans.
