(WFAN) Bears safety Jaquan Brisker called Giants quarterback Daniel Jones “trash” in a tweet Tuesday in which he criticized his new four-year deal, and New York receiver Darius Slayton quickly came to Jones’ defense.

Responding to the news of Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson getting the non-exclusive franchise tag Tuesday, Brisker wrote, “MVP lol … other Bruh got paid today and is trash fam,” referencing Jones’ new four-year, $160-million deal.

Slayton responded with a screenshot of the final score from this past season, when Jones and the Giants took down Brisker’s Bears, 20-12.

Jones’ deal has been criticized by some given the lucrative money and the fact that Jones threw just 15 touchdown passes this past season, but others point to his glaring lack of wide receiver talent and the step forward he took in his first year under head coach Brian Daboll.

Brisker clearly doesn’t think Jones was worth the money.
