After a key meeting, DJ Moore praises Shane Waldron for his adjustments in Bears' win over Rams

(670 The Score) In the aftermath of the Bears’ ugly loss to the Colts on Sept. 22, key members of Chicago’s offense met with offensive coordinator Shane Waldron to share their frustrations regarding the operation on that side of the football.

On Sunday, the Bears responded with a 24-18 win against the Rams at Soldier Field. While the Bears didn’t have an explosive performance, they did get their ground game going with 131 rushing yards and executed well in a series of key sequences as they improved to 2-2. Afterward, top receiver DJ Moore praised Waldron for the adjustments he made to the game plan and how he challenged his players in the days leading up to Sunday.

“The meeting went good,” Moore said on the Mully & Haugh Show on Monday morning. “He listened to our thoughts and then he went out there and tried to execute them within in the game plan and how he set up the game plan and everything. He heard what we said, and the meetings got better – like with holding everyone accountable in the room, from me to Big Dog Marcedes (Lewis) all the way down to the rookies. Everybody, if you messed up, you got called up. So starting there was a push to get everybody on the same wavelength and that nobody is going to be hidden in this offense.

“His week went good. He incorporated what we talked about as offensive leaders. And then he went out there and executed it to his way of doing things. I think he connects with us well.”
