(Audacy) Bears receiver Chase Claypool’s vocal frustration with the coaching staff was a subplot in the team's 31-28 loss to the Broncos on Sunday, as Chicago made Claypool a healthy scratch and asked him to stay home rather than attend the game at Soldier Field.

While Claypool's comments Friday weren't the reason he was a healthy scratch, they were still controversial enough to raise questions as to whether he crossed a line in voicing his displeasure with his limited usage.

“It’s a thin line,” Bears top receiver DJ Moore said on the Mully & Haugh Show on Monday morning. “Everybody wants to speak their mind, but at the same time, there’s a business aspect behind it.

“At the same time, you gotta produce to be able to speak your mind and do certain things. (I’m) not saying Chase can’t do that, but it’s like certain times where you can and who you should talk to.”

There was also some confusion as to whose decision it was for Claypool to not attend the game Sunday.

In his postgame press conference, head coach Matt Eberflus indicated it was Claypool’s decision, but the team later clarified that the organization asked him to stay home.

Regardless, Moore believes that Claypool and the Bears will get through this latest hiccup.

“I’m not concerned,” Moore said. “I talk to Chase we talk a lot. We’re gonna figure out what’s happening and go from there. I know Chase is ready to get back on the field and provide any way that he can.”
