(670 The Score) Bears safety Eddie Jackson didn’t participate in practice Wednesday as he continues to deal with a left foot injury.
Jackson was injured in the first quarter of Chicago’s loss at Tampa Bay on Sunday. The injury was to the same foot that Jackson suffered a Lisfranc fracture in last November, causing him to miss the remainder of the season. Earlier in the week, Bears coach Matt Eberflus indicated that the initial diagnosis on Jackson’s foot injury was “positive.” It remains unclear how long Jackson could be sidelined.
Bears offensive lineman Lucas Patrick (illness) also didn’t participate in practice Wednesday. Receiver Darnell Mooney (ankle) and cornerback Josh Blackwell (hamstring) were limited participants.
In other news Wednesday, the Bears released veteran quarterback Nathan Peterman, who was previously second on the team’s depth chart at the position.
