AURORA (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The Bears have another suitor looking to woo the team away from Chicago.
Aurora is the latest suburb throwing its proverbial “hat in the ring,” to quote a letter that it sent to the team.
“The opportunity to partner with the historic Chicago Bears as you search for the perfect new home is one we are eager to take on," Aurora mayor Richard Irvin wrote.
"Turning a vision into reality is not always easy. It requires the right resources to make dreams come true. Aurora offers unparalleled key resources to take a vision and make dreams come true."
Aurora joins Arlington Heights, Naperville and Waukegan in attempting to lure the Bears.
Although the Bears have purchased the Arlington Park property, the team has maintained that it isn't the “singular focus.”
