(670 The Score) The Bears' scheduled Tuesday practice in OTAs was canceled as punishment for the team recently violating the NFL's rules regarding contact in practices, the Chicago Tribune reported.

The Bears were scheduled to hold a practice Tuesday at Halas Hall but were forced by the NFL to cancel it due to the violation. The team is slated to practice Wednesday.

Under the watch of new coach Matt Eberflus, the Bears held live contact in practices in May, the Tribune reported, which is prohibited by collectively bargained rules between the NFL and the players' association. The team was warned before the league stepped in, according to the report.

The Bears haven't yet confirmed the violation. The team informed reporters Monday evening that the scheduled media availability for Tuesday was moved to Wednesday.
