Report: Former Super Bowl champion Bears CB Michael Richardson arrested on murder charge in Phoenix

(670 The Score) Former Super Bowl champion Bears cornerback Michael Richardson has been arrested by Phoenix police on a murder charge, ABC-15 in Arizona reported.

Richardson, 59, was taken into custody as police investigate the shooting death of 47-year-old Ronald Like on Tuesday morning.

Richardson played for the Bears from 1983-’88 and was a starting cornerback on the 1985 team that won the Super Bowl. Richardson. He then earned All-Pro honors in 1986. Prior to his NFL career, Richardson was a star at Arizona State.

Richardson has a long history of arrests. In 2010, ESPN reported Richardson had 21 convictions for drug-related charges and had five felonies in the previous 16 years.
