Sam Mustipher: Bears need 'honesty, some truth'

The Bears posted just 47 net yards of offense in a loss to the Browns on Sunday.

(670 The Score) Following an ugly offensive performance in a loss to the Browns on Sunday, the Bears have been taking inventory and seeking ways to improve.

From the perspective of the players, the Bears believe they can be better in terms of communication. On Tuesday, center Sam Mustipher expressed his belief that while the Bears aren't lacking vocal leaders, they could benefit from more candid conversations.

“I feel like we need some honesty, some truth,” Mustipher told reporters at Halas Hall. “Come out and say, 'This is what you've got to do. This is what you've got to improve on.' When I walk into the room, I tell the guy, 'I was unacceptable on this play.' That lends them to say, 'Here's where I messed up. Here's where I screwed up a blocking assignment.'

“It's not about being vocal. It's about being honest.”
