(670 The Score) The Bears have tabbed Andrew Janocko to their new quarterbacks coach, a source told 670 The Score host Danny Parkins on Thursday morning. The team confirmed the hiring later in the afternoon.
Janocko, 33, has worked for the Vikings since 2015. He was Minnesota's quarterbacks coach last season after previously serving in various roles on the offensive coaching staff.
Janocko will replace John DeFilippo, who previously served as the Bears' quarterbacks coach. Janocko will work alongside new head coach Matt Eberflus, offensive coordinator Luke Getsy and passing game coordinator Tyke Tolbert.
In other coaching staff news, the Bears officially hired Tyke Tolbert as their wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator and David Overstreet II as their assistant defensive backs coach. Tolbert was the Giants' wide receivers coach for the past four seasons. Overstreet worked under Eberflus for the Colts for the past four seasons, most recently as the assistant defensive backs coach.
