T.J. Edwards on Bears' loss to Packers: 'That one hurts the pride'

(670 The Score) The Bears are stuck in a four-game losing streak that has sent their season into a downward spiral, and their latest loss to the rival Packers really had extra sting to it.

On the final play of the game, the Bears had their game-winning field-goal attempt blocked, as kicker Cairo Santos' 46-yarder deflected off the outstretched hand of Packers defensive lineman Karl Brooks. Chicago dropped to 4-6 with the heartbreaking 20-19 loss.

Bears linebacker T.J. Edwards is eager to get back to work this week as his team prepares for its game against the Vikings on Sunday, but he admitted a loss like that to the Packers isn’t easy to overcome.

“That loss absolutely sucks,” Edwards said on the Bernstein & Harris Show on Tuesday. “It sucks to lose to Green Bay that way, to be honest with you. Any loss sucks. But that one hurts. That one hurts the pride and all that. But you got to get back in here and get back to work. We know we’ll see them again soon.”

A native of suburban Lake Villa, Edwards grew up a Bears fan and is quite familiar with the franchise's longstanding rivalry with the Packers.

The Bears (4-6) and Vikings (8-2) will kick off at noon CT on Sunday from Soldier Field.
