(670 The Score) The Cubs’ offense leads MLB with a 12.7% walk rate and is averaging 6.4 runs per game, which ranks second in baseball.

That offense has been the driving engine in the Cubs’ 6-3 start and their series win over the Dodgers over the weekend, when they took two of three at Wrigley Field. And that left the Bernstein & Holmes Show mighty impressed.

“They’re good,” Score midday host Dan Bernstein said on his show Monday. “They’re just good. You talk about a relentless lineup making you make pitches. What was the line from Aaron Boone? ‘My guys are savages in that box.’ There are some savages on this team. They are spitting on some pitcher’s pitches. They are making you work. They are grinding.”
