(670 The Score) It’s no secret that the Cubs want to acquire starting pitching on the trade market, and they could be getting closer to accomplishing that goal.
The Cubs continue to be active in trade discussions and would like to get their business going well ahead of the trade deadline that looms on July 31, Score baseball insider Bruce Levine told the Mully & Haugh Show on Monday morning. Levine wouldn’t be surprised if the Cubs finalized a deal in the next seven to 10 days.
“They’re going for it, they’re proactive,” Levine said.
