(670 The Score) Cubs star Kris Bryant left early after being hit by a pitch in the right hand during the first inning of Chicago's game at the New York Mets on Tuesday evening. The team called it a hand contusion.
Bryant took first base after being struck in the hand by Mets right-hander Taijuan Walker and played third base during the bottom of the first inning. But he left before the bottom of the second, with Patrick Wisdom taking over at third base.
The National League leader at third base in All-Star voting, Bryant was hitting .292 before leaving Tuesday night.
