(670 The Score) White Sox third baseman Yoan Moncada exited his team’s game against the Twins on Thursday afternoon with a bruised right hand. He's undergoing further evaluation, the team said.

Moncada hurt himself in the bottom of the third inning while sliding headfirst into third base, as his right hand got stuck awkwardly in the ground and he rolled over it. He was checked by trainers but remained in the game initially. His hand was bleeding from a cut.

Moncada scored a run on teammate Yasmani Grandal’s ensuing RBI single, but he didn’t take the field for the top of the fourth inning. Outfielder Andrew Vaughn shifted to third base, and Billy Hamilton came off the bench to move into the outfield.

Moncada entered Thursday hitting .274 with five homers, 35 RBIs and a .788 OPS in 72 games.
