CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – After missing practice Tuesday, the Browns projected right tackle Jack Conklin as limited, had the team held a practice on Wednesday, and he is listed as questionable Thursday night against the Bengals.
Conklin suffered an ankle injury during Sunday’s 38-6 loss at Baltimore. He is also dealing with an injury to his finger.
The Browns held a walk-through Wednesday as they finalized preparations for the home opener.
If Conklin, who signed a 3-year, $42 million contract as a free agent in the spring, can’t go, Chris Hubbard, last year’s starter, would likely be called upon to replace him.
Hubbard is listed as questionable for the game as well with an ankle injury.
Bruised Bengals – The Bengals announced they will be without two defensive tackles Thursday night – Geno Atkins and Mike Daniels.
Atkins is dealing with a shoulder injury and Daniels a groin injury.
Kicker randy Bullock, who suffered a calf injury in the closing seconds when he missed a potential game-tying field goal, is expected to play.
The Bengals claimed former Browns kicker Austin Seibert, waived Monday by the club after missing a 41-yard field goal and PAT, on Tuesday.
Roster move – With linebackers Mack Wilson and Jacob Phillips out with knee injuries, the Browns signed linebacker Montrel Meander to the active roster from the practice squad.
The team also waived offensive tackle Alex Taylor from injured reserve with an injury settlement.
