The Memphis Tigers, coming off a rough loss to South Florida, took a different approach against Cincinnati starting out with a 35 to 29 lead after the 1st half. It wouldn't last as Memphis lost the 2nd half by 11 points. Final: #25 Cincinnati 69 Memphis 64

Final: No. 25 Cincinnati 69, Memphis 64. Jeremiah Martin w/ 26; Parks with 11pts/9rebs. But not enough against a Bearcats team that pretty much outworked/outhustled Memphis everywhere in 2nd half. Memphis not mentally tough/disciplined enough right now to win Quad 1 games (0-7).

Yes, Mick Cronin and his team were able to ward off  Memphis at FedExForum despite Jeremiah Martin going 8 of 14 from the 3-point arc. Martin finished with 26 points.  Memphis was also led by Kyvon Davenport's double-double 12 points and 10 rebounds and Mike Park's 11 points and 9 rebounds.

Cincinnati is tough, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Cincinnati was led on Thursday night by Jarron Cumberland's 17 points.

Next up: Memphis will travel to UCONN on Sunday (2/10) with a 1:00 p.m. game on CBS Sports Network
