The Memphis Tigers had their toughest test of the week on Saturday (8/17) in their 3rd Bahamas summer matchup against the Bahamas National Team. The Bahamas squad featured several solid players including D'Shon Taylor who played at Norfolk State. After two blowout wins earlier in the week, the Tigers were able to use their depth and balanced scoring to take care of business against the Bahamas National Team. Final: Memphis 87 BNT 77

Memphis was led in scoring by Tyler Harris with 19 points. Lester Quinones scored 17 points, while DJ Jefferies adding a nice all around game with a double-double 14 and 10. Damion Baugh had a very solid stat line all the way across with 12 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals. Baugh projects to be a promising young Tigers guard in the season ahead.

At halftime, Geoff Calkins did a live twitter video/periscope with ESPN College Basketball/Foreign Scout Fran Frachilla and you can watch that below:

Here’s ESPN’s @franfraschilla discussing the @Memphis_MBB with @geoff_calkins~> 1st half vs the Bahamas National Squad, the Tigers, and James Wiseman. Says Wiseman is a Top 3 pick (barring injury) and reminds him of David Robinson. https://t.co/W9mZ7LisV5
