Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki had his first dunk of the 2018-19 season as he came off a pick-and-roll in the first quarter in what could likely be his second to last home game. That was really the only highlight for Dallas, as Delon Wright and the plucky G-League loaded Grizzlies squad took care of business in the first of a back-to-back/home-and-away set vs. Dallas. Final: Memphis Grizzlies 122 Dallas Mavericks 112

Wright finished with 26 points and 10 assists in 39 minutes of play.  Seven Grizzlies scored in double figure including new Grizzly Tyler Zeller. Zeller played 18 minutes finishing with 10 points.

As of Saturday morning (4/6) Memphis was in the "convey position" (9th from the bottom according to tankathon.com). If the Grizzlies finish 9th (or better) they'll give away their top 8 protected 2019 draft selection to the Boston Celtics. GM Chris Wallace stated that this was the franchise goal for Memphis after the Marc Gasol trade.
