The Memphis Tigers moved to 4-0 on Thursday with a 35-23 win over previously undefeated Navy, a team the Tigers have had their struggle with in the past. It was a coming out party for RB Kenneth Gainwell, who finished with 14 carries for 104yds and a score in the big win on ESPN's Thursday Night Football. After a brutal first half that featured boos from the home crowd, starting QB Brady White came out strong in the 2nd half throwing for 3 TDs. another positive was the Memphis defense proved once again to be much improved under new DC Adam Fuller.
The Tigers remain undefeated and now look towards next week's rankings to see if they move into the Top 25. Their next game is October 5th at Louisiana Monroe.
