This fall, Tennessee Wildlife Federation will hit the road for 11 Tennessee Wildlife Town Hall eventsacross the state, from Memphis to the Tri-Cities.These events will be open to the public, with special invitations going to elected leaders, local officials,hunters, anglers, birders, hikers, paddlers, OHV riders, outdoor business owners, and others who careabout the future of Tennessee’s wildlife and outdoor traditions.There are several reasons for this effort.

First, we want to make sure people across the state understandthe most important challenges facing our wildlife, habitat, waterways, and outdoor sports.

Second, many of these locations were chosen because there are key elected leaders in those regions, and we want tomake sure they see just how important conservation is to the people they represent. Third, we want toidentify and engage more grassroots advocates in every region of Tennessee. That kind of localinvolvement is critical to moving good conservation policy forward. Finally, this tour gives us a chance toconnect with outdoor businesses in each community and continue growing the Outdoor Business Roundtable.

Each town hall will include a welcome and recognition of local partners and elected leaders inattendance, followed by a brief overview of who Tennessee Wildlife Federation is and what we do. Wewill also bring in guest speakers to talk about wildlife and conservation issues that matter in each part ofthe state. That may include duck issues in West Tennessee, chronic wasting disease in Middle Tennessee, bear issues in East Tennessee, and other topics that are specific to each region.TWF will also discuss key policy issues, and we plan to have TWRA participate with updates on topicsrelevant to each area.

The event will close with a panel discussion featuring the speakers, whereattendees can submit questions, followed by door prizes donated by Outdoor Business Roundtablemembers.
