Memphis, Tenn. – The Memphis Grizzlies will hold its 2025 Media Day starting on Monday, Sept. 29, inside the Press Conference Room of the Don Poier Media Center at FedExForum. Gabe Kuhn is scheduled to attend with special Grizzlies interviews on 92.9 FM ESPN's Gabe Kuhn Show Monday afternoon.
Following Media Day, the Grizzlies will depart for Training Camp, which will take place from Sept. 30-Oct. 2 at the Crockett Center on the campus of Belmont University in Nashville.
GRIZZLIES SIGN BRAXTON KEY
Memphis, Tenn. – The Memphis Grizzlies today announced the team signed forward Braxton Key. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Key (6-8, 230) has come off the bench in 37 career games over four NBA seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers, Detroit Pistons, Denver Nuggets and Golden State Warriors and has averaged 2.9 points and 1.9 rebounds in 7.5 minutes. He appeared in three regular season games and five playoff games for the Warriors last season.
The 28-year-old North Carolina native also has competed in 77 regular season games (53 starts) in five NBA G League seasons with the Delaware Blue Coats, Grand Rapids Gold, San Diego Clippers and Santa Cruz Warriors and has averaged 16.6 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 2.2 steals and 1.2 blocks in 28.4 minutes. He was named the 2024-25 NBA G League Defensive Player of the Year and helped lead Delaware to the NBA G League championship in 2023.
Key went unselected in the 2020 NBA Draft out of the University of Virginia. He helped the Cavaliers win the NCAA Tournament championship in 2019.
