The Memphis Grizzlies saw a competitive effort slip away late in a 131-105 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Monday night at FedExForum. Memphis battled evenly through the first three quarters, trailing just 91-89 entering the fourth after multiple lead changes and a strong push that briefly gave them the advantage in the third.

However, the game turned decisively in the final frame. Phoenix erupted for a 40-16 fourth quarter, fueled by efficient shooting and a decisive run that quickly created separation. Devin Booker led the Suns with 36 points on an efficient shooting night, while Phoenix’s offensive rhythm overwhelmed Memphis down the stretch with consistent ball movement and perimeter shooting.

Memphis shot over 50% from the field and showed flashes offensively, but 23 turnovers proved costly, leading to easy scoring opportunities for Phoenix. Tyler Burton paced the Grizzlies with 17 points off the bench, while Cam Spencer added 16 and both GG Jackson and Jahmai Mashack chipped in 14 points apiece.

Ultimately, Memphis couldn’t match Phoenix’s late-game execution, as the Suns dominated the fourth quarter to turn a tight contest into a lopsided final.
