Mile-high meltdown leads Memphis to the play-in

Friday night the Denver Nuggets overcame a late deficit to defeat the Memphis Grizzlies 117–109 at Ball Arena. The Grizzlies led 108–103 with just over six minutes remaining, but Denver closed the game on a 14–1 run, capitalizing on Memphis's missed shots and turnovers.​

Nikola Jokić recorded a triple-double with 26 points, 16 rebounds, and 13 assists, becoming the first center and third player ever to average a triple-double over a season. Aaron Gordon contributed 33 points, including eight dunks, while Jamal Murray added 15 points in his return from injury.​

Desmond Bane led Memphis with 24 points, followed by Ja Morant with 21 and Jaren Jackson Jr. with 18. The Grizzlies' offense faltered late, missing their final ten shots and committing four turnovers. This loss dropped Memphis to 47–34, securing them a play-in tournament spot, while Denver improved to 49–32, solidifying their position in the top six of the Western Conference.
