By the time it was confirmed by Rashad Phillip's feed that Kendrick Davis was transferring to the University of Memphis for his final year of college basketball eligibility, most hardcore Memphis followers knew his selection would likely be the Tigers. After all, Davis stopped visiting other campuses and his mother deleted a tweet about his open recruitment.
Friday night (4/22) Davis announced his decision to come to the University of Memphis via Phillips:
Kendrick Davis is a true point-guard leader, 4-year player (plus Covid year) eligiible to play immediately at the University of Memphis, and averaged over 19 points the last two seasons for a very solid SMU team.
