Penny Hardaway and the #13 Memphis Tigers basketball team avoided disaster at FedExForum Wednesday night (1/10) with a 107-101 win over a 7-8 UTSA team which has losses to the likes of Army, Little Rock, Lamar, Texas St., and Jacksonville State. UTSA is bad.
Memphis once again relied on Jahvon Quinerly. This on the heels of consecutive 3-point wins at the hands of their star point guard in the final seconds against Tulsa and SMU. Quinerly had 24 points, including nine points in overtime. All five Memphis starters scored in double figures. All-American candidate David Jones had a double-double 26 points and 11 rebounds.
