When you talk about elite high school coaches in the Mid-South, Collierville track and field coach Alisa Seymour belongs near the very top of the list. Seymour joined Jason Smith on 92.9 FM ESPN and reflected on a remarkable run that has turned the Lady Dragons into one of the premier programs in the country. AUDIO:
Seymour's leadership has produced back-to-back TSSAA Class AAA state championships, including a dominant 2025 title performance in which Collierville piled up 155 points, nearly doubling the total of the runner-up. Her program has become known for depth, development, and a culture that emphasizes accountability and excellence.
The success hasn't gone unnoticed. Seymour was named Tennessee Coach of the Year and later became the first Tennessee coach ever selected as the National High School Girls Track & Field Coach of the Year by the USTFCCCA.
