Geoff Calkins spent most of his show on Friday (1/19/24) discussing the Tigers disaster loss at FedExForum to South Florida (AUDIO from 92.9):

It's been a tough week in Memphis. Four days of bad weather followed by a note from the University of Memphis telling fans to essentially stay home to watch the game on ESPN instead of coming to watch the Tigers in person.

The Memphis fans largely did just that, staying home, with just a few 100 fans inside FedExForum to see South Florida make a 20-point comeback to beat the Memphis Tigers 74-73. That's when the tweets (X on social media/messages) also emerged after an embarrassing loss for Memphis.

South Florida was led in scoring by Selton Miguel with 23 points of the bench. Memphis' David Jones had 25 points to lead the Tigers.

Memphis will now work to regroup before heading to New Orleans to take on the Tulane Green Wave on Sunday at noon on ESPN 2.
