The Memphis Tigers concluded their 2024-25 men's basketball season with a 70-78 loss to the Colorado State Rams in the NCAA Tournament's first round on March 21, 2025, at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle. Despite this early exit, the Tigers showcased a commendable season under head coach Penny Hardaway. They secured notable victories, including an overtime win against No. 2 UConn (99-97) in the Maui Invitational on November 25, 2024. Memphis also clinched the American Athletic Conference (AAC) Tournament title, defeating UAB 84-72 on March 16, 2025. This triumph marked their third consecutive AAC Tournament championship, highlighting their dominance in the conference.
