On Wednesday (2/5) former Tulsa guard PJ Haggerty led the No. 17 Memphis Tigers to an 83-71 victory over the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, scoring a game-high 23 points against his former team. Dain Dainja contributed 21 points, six rebounds, four assists, four blocks, and three steals, while Tyrese Hunter added 11 points.
Memphis shot 56.7% from the field, including 9 of 21 from three-point range, securing their sixth consecutive win. Despite Tulsa's 53.6% shooting, they couldn't overcome Memphis's offensive prowess. Tyshawn Archie led Tulsa with 17 points off the bench, and Dwon Odom, Isaiah Barnes, and Jared Garcia each scored 11. Memphis held a 39-34 halftime lead and extended it in the second half to maintain their top position in the American Athletic Conference.
