BREAKING NEWS: Kansas State star center transferring to Memphis (AUDIO)

Nae’Qwan Tomlin has committed to Memphis after being dismissed from Kansas State's team

We likely could have guessed that Nae’Qwan Tomlin would be in-bound from Kansas State as soon as learning about the mysterious Jordan Brown "illness". Memphis' center, Brown, transferred from Louisiana to start the season. Brown had missed consecutive games for the Tigers. Soon after confusion surrounding Brown's illness, Bluff City Media reported that Brown would be leaving the University of Memphis.

Last Wednesday Kansas State athletic director Gene Taylor announced that Kansas State's star center Nae'Qwan Tomlin had been dismissed from the team. By the weekend K-State president Richard Linton said the school's decision was not "made solely due to an incident at (the bar)". Regardless of any of his past troubles at K-State, Tomlin will graduate this month from the school and presumably transfer to Memphis under the NCAA's grad transfer rules.

Despite any of Tomlin's past troubles at K-State, he is expected to graduate this month from the school and presumably transfer to Memphis under the NCAA's grad transfer rules. In 2024, as a new semester starts at the University of Memphis, fans could possibly see Tomlin as early as the Tulsa game on Thursday, January 4th, 2024. This obviously is still to be determined as the story develops.
