American Athletic Conference Unveils 2023-24 Men’s Basketball Schedule
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The American Athletic Conference portion of the Memphis men’s basketball schedule features five weekend home contests, including an anticipated rematch with Florida Atlantic on Sunday, Feb. 25.
The entire 2023-24 AAC slate was announced Friday for a conference that welcomes six new men’s basketball teams to the league. Complete game times and television information will be announced at a later date.
Season tickets to see the reigning AAC champion Tigers are available at THIS LINK and can be purchased for as low as $200.
Every team in The American will play 18 league games, including five of its 13 conference opponents twice and the other eight once – four at home and four on the road.
Memphis starts conference action on the road Thursday, Jan. 4 at Tulsa before returning to the Bluff City to host SMU (Jan. 7) and UTSA (Jan. 10).
After three road trips over the next two weeks to Wichita State (Jan. 14), Tulane (Jan. 21) and UAB (Jan. 28), the Tigers will close out the month of January with a home date with Rice (Jan. 31).
Wichita State then comes to FedExForum on Feb. 3 for a nationally-televised showdown at noon on CBS. Two weeks later, Memphis will make a weekend swing through Dallas to take on reigning National Invitation Tournament champion North Texas (Feb. 15) and SMU (Feb. 18).
The Tigers will finish their league slate with three home games in the final five contests. Charlotte comes to town on Feb. 21 before NCAA Cinderella and Final Four participant FAU ventures into the Forum (Feb. 25). It will be the first meeting between the programs since squaring off in the first round of last season's NCAA Tournament in Columbus, Ohio.
Memphis wraps up its home schedule with UAB on March 3 for senior day, before making a return trip to Boca Raton, Florida to battle the Owls at 11 a.m. on CBS in the regular season finale.
The American Athletic Conference Championship will expand to a 14-team tournament and will be held at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, March 13-17.

The Tigers finished the 2022-23 season with a 26-9 record, a second-straight NCAA Tournament appearance and the program’s first American Athletic Conference championship. In five seasons at the helm, Penny Hardaway has amassed a 110-52 record, five-straight 20-win seasons and the 2021 NIT championship in addition to back-to-back March Madness appearances in 2022 and 2023.
