According to ESPN's Pete Thamel, this could be the week when the college conference realignment machine cranks up again. This time, the Atlantic Coast Conference. And with SMU willing to essentially "buy their way in" the AAC could see the Mustangs join the Power 5 ACC, along with Cal and Stanford from the PAC 12.
Mark Giannotto described the scenario on Monday's (8/28) Giannotto & Jeffrey Show and said it's a shame for the University of Memphis since SMU is a like-minded overall healthy top-end program in their current Group of 5 AAC arrangement. (AUDIO)
