In Denton, the Memphis Tigers men's basketball team let a winnable game slip away, falling 76-69 to the North Texas Mean Green men's basketball squad after trailing just 33-32 at halftime.

The Tigers were within striking distance all night. Sincere Parker led the way offensively with 20 points, attacking the rim and knocking down timely shots to keep Memphis close. But while Parker provided the spark, Memphis couldn’t consistently string together stops in the second half. The Tigers struggled to move their feet on defense as Bradley and Sylia fouled out of the game late.

North Texas methodically pulled away after the break, outscoring the Tigers 43-37 over the final 20 minutes. The Mean Green controlled tempo, limited Memphis in transition, and capitalized at the free-throw line down the stretch. A few empty possessions and costly turnovers in the final four minutes sealed it.
