MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Brady White became Memphis' all-time passing touchdown leader, Calvin Austin III broke open the game with a 64-yard punt return and the Tigers defeated Stephen F. Austin 56-14 on Saturday.

White's short pass to Tahj Washington turned into a 48-yard touchdown and gave White 82 career TD passes, breaking a tie with Danny Wimprine (2001-2004). White threw for 269 yards with one interception.

Austin's punt return extended Memphis' lead to 35-14 lead late in the third quarter. Austin had 117 return yards to go along with 173 yards receiving for Memphis (5-2), which has won 14 straight home games. Kylan Watkins rushed for 100 yards.

The Lumberjacks (6-4) scored on Trae Self's 7-yard pass to Xavier Gipson in the final minute of the half to get within 20-14.

The Lumberjacks were outgained 574-224 with Self being intercepted twice. Their other touchdown came on Brevin Randle's 30-yard interception return.

This was Stephen F. Austin's finale of a 10-game fall schedule. There is a possibility of playing one spring game for the FCS team.

MEMPHIS — Saturday’s game between Memphis and Navy is set to kickoff at 6 p.m. CT from Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. Television network information for the game will be released Tuesday.

The American Athletic Conference matchup was originally scheduled for Nov. 14 but was postponed due to COVID-19 cases within the Navy program. As a result, Memphis had the final three games of its conference schedule reshuffled last week. The Tigers will play at Tulane on Dec. 5 and host Houston on Dec. 12 in their regular-season finale.

Memphis (5-2, 3-2 AAC) will face Navy (3-4, 3-2) for the sixth time in program history. The Tigers defeated the Midshipmen 35-23 at the Liberty Bowl in the Tigers' first AAC game of their 2019 conference championship season. Navy holds a 3-2 advantage in the series, and the Midshipmen are 2-0 at home against the Tigers.

"We are excited to be able to add a great opponent like the Naval Academy back on our schedule," said Memphis head coach Ryan Silverfield. "We can't wait to get back up there to Annapolis. Obviously, with all the changes in college football this year, we appreciate the conference working with us to be able to play the rest of our schedule. We will finish up our regular-season schedule the right way and see where the chips may fall."

The Midshipmen have not played since Oct. 31 at SMU. They have had three consecutive AAC games postponed since.
