John Martin: HBO Hard Knocks back, but has changed

Wednesday (8/6) John Martin surveyed the new media landscape and included a discussion on the new season of Hard Knocks and how it's changed.

HBO Sports and NFL Films take viewers behind the scenes at Buffalo Bills training camp, the first time the franchise has accepted an invite to Hard Knocks. The show spotlights QB Josh Allen, the 2024 NFL MVP, along with head coach Sean McDermott, GM Brandon Beane, and an intriguing cast of veterans and rookies as they prepare for the 2025 season.

Episode 1 features family scenes with Pro Bowl tackle Dion Dawkins, the Josh Allen and Josh Palmer chemistry-building drills, a cornerback battle between Tre’Davious White and rookie Maxwell Hairston, and a glimpse of the new Highmark Stadium under construction.

This intimate access captures rivalry, ambition, and personal stories as the Bills vie for AFC East supremacy in pursuit of their elusive first Super Bowl.
