Zach Arnett won't be unemployed very long, known as a terrific defensive coordinator. Unfortunately, it wasn't to be for his tenure as a Mississippi State Head Coach. But this wasn't a normal hiring. State needed to move fast late last year after the sudden death of Mike Leach.
Arnett went on to win the ReliaQuest Bowl for Mississippi State, then proceeded to clean out (essentially) the entire offensive staff including Steve Spurrier Jr. Big mistake. Arnett went 4-6 this season including a 51-10 blasting at the hands of Jimbo Fisher and Texas A&M this past weekend. I guess if Jimbo's blasting your coach on the way out, you need to make a move at Mississippi State.
