It marked the Bulldogs’ first win over a Top-15 non-conference opponent since 1991 and Jeff Lebby’s most significant victory as head coach. Memphis powers past Georgia State
Memphis sealed a convincing 38–16 win on the road at Georgia State. Makari Bodiford scored twice and the Tigers pulled away with the final 24 points of the game. The victory extended their streak to 12 straight wins against Sun Belt opponents and 42 consecutive games scoring at least 20 points.
Around the SEC and college football
