ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The St. Louis Cardinals announced Thursday a new agreement with Diamond Sports Group that will see non-exclusive nationally televised Cardinals games remain on the air on recently-renamed FanDuel Sports Network, previously known as Bally Sports Networks and Fox Sports Networks.

As part of the new deal, subscribers to FanDuel Sports Network will have direct-to-consumer ("DTC") option access to games in the extensive Cardinals TV territory.

Additionally, pay TV customers will be able to stream games and other programming on the FanDuel Sports Network app by authenticating with their pay TV credentials.

"We are pleased to enhance and expand our long-term partnership with Diamond and FanDuel Sports Network Midwest." said Cardinals President Bill Dewitt III said in a press release. "We valued the continuity for our fans of staying on the same network as the Blues, and we are excited that we will now be able to expand access to our games and other great Cardinals content across multiple platforms next year."

The new agreement comes over a month after Diamond Sports was reportedly considering dropping 11 teams from its regional sports networks, including the Cardinals.

The Cardinals were previously in a middle of a 15-year deal that was worth reportedly more than $1 billion, was signed in 2018 with Fox Sports Midwest. The deal also included Cardinals having a ownership share in FanDuel Sports Network Midwest.

Financial terms of the new deal were not disclosed, but according to Katie Woo and Evan Drellich of The Athletic the Cardinals are taking a pay reduction of roughly 25 percent in 2025 in the deal and the deal does not extend beyond this decade.
