Joshua Báez Makes MLB History in Dream Debut

Joshua Báez couldn't have scripted a better introduction to the major leagues. The St. Louis Cardinals rookie blasted three home runs in his MLB debut against the Chicago Cubs, becoming the first player in Major League Baseball history to homer in each of his first three career at-bats. Báez's unforgettable performance included a home run on the very first pitch he saw in the big leagues, five RBIs, and an 8-4 Cardinals victory at Wrigley Field.

Called up from Triple-A Memphis after hitting 34 home runs in the minors this season, the 23-year-old immediately showcased the power that made him one of the organization's top prospects.
