Don't look now, but the Atlanta Braves have found their closer!
He has 13 saves, 57 strikeouts (13 K/9) and his opponents are only hitting .236 against him. Perfect? Of course not. But there are no Mo Rivera's in the league anymore, and by my count there are only three dominant closers in the league today. So maybe the Braves make a trade, maybe not. But there's one thing for certain: The Braves have been in much worse situations at the end of June than having 50 wins and a closer named Luke Jackson.
Rob Tribble speaks on Luke Jackson. And after seeing the fire in his eyes against the Mets on June 29, Jackson has earned Tribble's respect.
Likening Luke Jackson to Richard Gere's character in "An Officer And A Gentleman," Jackson may not be going anywhere!
