Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn announced that rookie offensive tackle Kaleb McGary is set to resume football activities this week.

McGary, who underwent a cardiac ablation procedure in July, hasn't been cleared for contact but will begin individual work with the team. The expectation has been for McGary to compete with Ty Sambrailo for that right tackle position.
But the Falcons shouldn't rush the rookie back.
"Please don't rush this kid," Jon Chuckery said. "I know how bad it looked at right tackle (on Thursday). I get it. Don't rush this kid."
Sambrailo struggled against the New York Jets in the Falcons second preseason game, and didn't practice on Sunday with a sore right shoulder.
"You can't rush (McGary) back," Randy McMichael agreed. "Put somebody over there, help (Sambrailo) chip, whatever you want to do."
