With training camp upon us (first day is Monday, July 22) there is one thing the Atlanta Falcons do not have to worry about, like some other teams: Player's contracts.
Even Julio's contract is not a factor at the moment.
Robb Tribble and Bryant McFadden are both happy about these contracts.
What this has done for the locker room of the Falcons cannot be overlooked. B-Mac talks about the energy that these guys are going to have now after their contracts have been done. While Jones did not get CJ Moseley money, he, along with Jarrett, got the money they deserved as far as their ranking at their position.
What players want more than anything, according to 10-year vet B-Mac, is stability. Football is a violent sport and anything can happen. Injuries happen all of the time before players are able to get their big contracts.
So for both Jones and Jarrett to secure their contracts before training camp relieves any tension they may have and could help the locker room as far as the players knowing the team has their backs.
