Instead, the No. 8 overall pick in the 2015 draft will become an unrestricted free agent when the new league year starts on March 18.

Per AtlantaFalcons.com, general manager Thomas Dimitroff issued this statement:

"As we continue to craft our 2020 roster, we'd like to thank Vic for five years of effort on behalf of our organization."

Beasley showed promise in 2016 when he was the league's leading sack leader with 15.5. However, he recorded only 5 sacks in 2017 and 2018. His numbers improved only slightly in 2019, finishing with 8 sacks.

In his five years with the Falcons, Beasley started 60 games registering 156 tackles, 37.5 sacks, 36 tackles for a loss, 11 forced fumbles and two touchdowns.
