Atlanta Hawks Forward John Collins joins The Midday Show with Rick and John to talk about All-Star Weekend, the dunk contest and buying mom a nice gift.
Rick first goes into the slam dunk contest and Collins says he'd love to be in but won't be upset if he does not get the call. However, he is always working on his dunks just in case. They talk about what he is doing different this year compared to previous years and he says is more practice and taking advantage of playing time.

He thinks the Hawks can build their nucleus into a big three but it will take some time for them to get to the right spots as a whole and they will be a force to be reckoned with in the future.

He talked about how the first thing he bought with his NBA money was a new car for his mom. Collins described the spectacle of the NBA All-Star weekend and it helps him appreciate the things that he has. He broke down how Trae Young got D-Wades jersey Sunday night by hitting up Wade before the game.
